FPT Corporation launches “Digital Race 2017-2018”
Not long after FPT Software introduced the autonomous technology in October 2017, the competition “Digital Race 2017-2018” has been officially launched by FPT Corporation with the theme “Programming Autonomous Car”. This competition is opened to all university students in Vietnam, providing participants a chance to research and experience latest autonomous driving technology.
The winner will receive a one-week trip to Japan to learn new technologies as well as be recruited directly by FPT Software company to work in the desired field. Moreover, the excellent Top 20 will be sponsored by FPT Software company to participate in a 10-week embedded systems training course. Members who pass the final exam will be officially invited to work for the company.
This year’s contest is tougher and more challenging than the one last year, as contestants must programme their cars to be automotive capable of operating in simulated outdoor light, following traffic signs and making right/left turns.
“The first season of “Digital Race” attracted more than 500 students, affirming its attraction and practicality, helping to promote the passion of learning and executing advanced worldwide technologies for Vietnamese students. This year, FPT Corporation will support so that candidates can approach more practical problems. All applicants will have the opportunity to explore and experience the autonomous driving technology developed and provided for global automotive enterprises by FPT Corporation. Moreover, the excellent contestants will be given the chance to participate in training courses and actual projects on automation. FPT Software’s Smart Building under construction
On January 25, the construction of FPT Software’s third campus for technology solution research and development (F-town 3) was commenced. Prior to this, F-town 1 and F-town 2 have been in operation since 2011 and 2014, respectively.

FPT expands footprint in Japan by opening the sixth office
Recently, FPT Japan has expanded the business by establishing the 6th office. In the event of the opening ceremony, CEO Tran Dang Hoa expressed his ambition of making FPT Japan the most outstanding Southeast Asia-based Japanese company.
The event was held with the participation of various distinguished guests from Japan External Trade Organization, Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Japan, etc. and big media agencies. FPT to provide Airbus with Big Data and AI on digital aviation platform
Aerospace giant Airbus and FPT Software have jointly signed an agreement on applying the most up-to-date technologies on developing Airbus’s digital services platform Skywise.
The agreement is aimed to strengthen development of the Skywise ecosystem in Asia. Two parties will focus on designing and delivering Application Programming Interface for third party users, transforming and maintaining Skywise applications. FPT Software and Airbus also invests topics such as applications development on Skywise; migration of applications onto Skywise and maintenance of Skywise applications. Additionally, FPT Software will conduct training programs for both third party users and software developers.
The agreement makes FPT the first Southeast Asia’s representative to become a strategic partner in Digital Transformation with Airbus. Specially, FPT will take charge of applying Analytics of Big Data and AI on Skywise – a digital aviation data platform. Through the cooperation with Airbus – the European largest aerospace company with highly strict demands, FPT Software’s capabilities in aviation industry have been significantly proven.
That FPT cooperates with Airbus is expected to further foster the success of Skywise digital aviation data platform. FPT supports GeoPost in expanding business to Asia
Europe’s second largest express company GeoPost and FPT have jointly signed an MoU on technology services with the aim to improve the operation efficiency of GeoPost.
Under the collaboration, FPT will provide technology solutions and apply Digital Transformation on GeoPost’s delivery system. As GeoPost is now facing the challenge of optimizing the delivery process and economizing on costs, FPT will help the company to modernize the IT system in order to reduce costs, respond to the demand of resources and improve the service. Concurrently, FPT will efficiently support GeoPost in expanding and developing the logistics market in Asia Pacific through FPT’s network in the region.
The cooperation between technology companies and logistics giants will considerably alter logistics industry in the future. Hence, that FPT collaborates with GeoPost affirms the FPT’s pioneering position in seizing new trends. “Prior to this, FPT rebuilt the entire global Portal system for GeoPost to make it more user-friendly. We are delighted to set strategic partnership with them by signing an official MoU, so that FPT can expand further cooperation with GeoPost in France and help them penetrate Vietnam market”, CEO of FPT France Ngo Duy Khang commented.
