by AnhTD4
In the assembly hall of the Technical University in Kosice, Slovakia, experienced programmers from 3 major IT companies in the country met to pit their strength against each other in the unique project Beat IT! organized for the second time. It is a series of modern lectures inspired by hip-hop battles, where the individual participants try to convince the audience about the quality of the presented technology only by means of arguments and with their wit.
This time, the developers of mobile applications – Mr. Ján Peti from FPT Slovakia and the two others from IT companies located in Kosice pitted their strength against each other. They have tried to win the students over for their technology. The competition caught the attention of over 250 participants and over 3500 viewers over Facebook live-stream.
“It is a unique project, as far as we know, the first of its kind in Slovakia. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it brings competitiveness as well as close cooperation of involved IT companies. They want to win the battle, so they are trying for an interesting and fun show. On the other hand, if the project is to be successful, all involved companies have to work closely during the organization, and this is the second aspect of Beat_IT!”, Mr. Jaroslav Porubän, head of the Department of Computer Science and Informatics of Technical University in Kosice explained.
The organizer is planning to continue this successful project, with the next competition expected to take place on November this year.
