On December 28th, 2017, FPT did commence the instruction of FPT Tower in the area of 100,000 square meters in Hanoi, Vietnam, which provides working space for approximately 9000 employees once completed. This will be the 14th and also the largest campus of FPT up to now.

FPT and La Poste hold Vietnam and The Industrial Revolution 4.0 Forum in France

On April 26th, FPT and La Poste co-operated to host the Vietnamese Forum and the Industrial Revolution 4.0 in France. The event was attended by Vietnamese Ambassador in France, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Son, leader of La Poste and 150 leaders of major corporations, start-ups in France.
At the event, FPT Chairman Truong Gia Binh affirmed that FPT would like to cooperate with French businesses to promote the 4th industrial revolution. FPT is cooperating with technology partners such as AWS, Microsoft, GE Predix and many others to create more human resources for this revolution.
In addition, FPT introduced 3 win-win cooperation models of FPT with its clients/partners in France, including the software outsourcing; App Factory for Digital Transformation Team (ATS) and the model for co-research and development of products for the Vietnamese market. These models have been successfully implemented by FPT with some big customers in France as well as over the globe. Typical success stories were discussed at the conference.
Also at the event, FPT Software’s Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Tran Huy Bao Giang presented FPT’s innovative solutions to match for the Industrial Revolution including Cloud, Internet of Things, Digital Transformation on various fields. According to Mr. Ngo Duy Khang, Director of FPT France, this is a rare opportunity for FPT to introduce to French customers the technologies and platforms that FPT is working on with partners around the globe.
On the side of La Poste, Mr. Philippe Wahl – Chairman of the Group, said that this was the first time the Group was honored to welcome the Vietnamese Ambassador as well as to organize a specific conference on Vietnam. Vietnam is one of the important steps in the development of La Poste Group in Asia. According to Philippe Wahl, in terms of technology Vietnam is also developing strongly and FPT is one of the pioneers. La Poste wished for more cooperation and such conferences helped the two parties better understand each other and promote the cooperation.
FPT Organize Vietnam AI Hackathon 2017

In June 2017, one of the largest events for the community of technology experts – Vietnam AI (Artificial Intelligence) Hackathon – will be held by FPT Corporation. The competition is expected to create a playground for technology expert in Vietnam to develop applications which apply Artificial Intelligence and provide an unlimited experience for users.
FPT to launch Tech Day 2017

FPT TechDay 2017 will take place on June 6th, 2017 at Grand Plaza, Hanoi with the main topic of “Artificial Intelligence – Unlimited experience, unlimited future”. This annual event has been held by FPT Corporation since 2013 with the purpose of showing FPT technology capabilities, creating an opportunity for Vietnamese as well as foreign IT talents to connect and share experience on developing and applying the world’s latest technologies. This year, FPT TechDay is expected to attract the participation of 1000 C-level managers, IT experts and especially speakers from DuPont, AT&T, IBM Watson, Amazon Web Services and Cyradar. The current trend of using AI and how this technology has been used in reality will be presented by keynote speakers at the event. Besides, speakers and participants also have chances to discuss about how AI can be applied in Vietnam.
Regarding this event, Mr. Le Hong Viet, FPT Corporation’s CTO emphasized: “Technologies such as IoT, AI and AR have been the main factors forming the Digital Transformation. FPT is now focusing on developing products and services which apply those technologies, not only for the internal transformation process but also for our clients. In addition, our company aims to contribute to the development of Vietnam’s Tech Community and Ecosystem. Therefore, apart from holding the event, FPT also share data and other research result on the field of AI for the tech community to use and develop applications”.
FPT TechDay 2017 is featured by 15 technology demo areas of FPT, Amazon, MOG, NextTech, Elsa, Saltlux, Five9, ALT, Cinnamon AI Lab, Sero.AI, Vietnam’s IoT Community and Hanoi Maker at which participants of the event can experience chatbot, smart-house space and autonomous driving technology.
Within the scope of FPT TechDay 2017, the final round of Vietnam AI Hackathon – a competition on developing applications using AI Technology and the signing ceremony of the cooperation to develop high quality human resources between FPT Corporation and Vietnam University of Engineering and Technology will also be organized.

The Understanding notes FPT’s role as a strategic partner of UPS, providing advanced technology solutions and efficient IT services to help it expand its business, optimize its operations, and bring benefits to customers and shareholders. FPT and UPS announced their intent to leverage their respective expertise in technology and logistics to jointly support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Vietnam in taking advantage of the opportunities that e-commerce offers.

FPT and leading corporations from America, Japan and Europe discuss investment opportunities at APEC Summit

The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit 2017 was held in Da Nang city, Vietnam from 6th to 9th of November with the participation of 21 countries. World leaders as well as top global companies did participate in this event.
Mr. Truong Gia Binh – Chairman of FPT Corporation, took part as coordinator for the session boosting investment opportunities between Vietnam and other APEC countries on November 8th. Leading members from the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and leading companies including UPS, Mizuho Bank, UL and Ageda Outside took part in this session with the topic “Vietnam: Thriving a changing world”.
During this session, participants had the opportunities to exchange views on sought-after topics: the importance of a stable investment environment; the position of a substantial and mutually beneficial cooperation between enterprises and the government; the value and direction of the development in logistics, healthcare and online tourism; subjects of information exchange between borders and digital transformation in Vietnam.
According to the World Economic Forum (WEF), Vietnam has advanced 5 ranks in the global competitive capability and 14 ranks in the business environment.
In addition to the investment environment, other topics drawing attention of participants were technology and Digital Transformation. Technology enables the development and optimization of business activities in logistics, tourism, healthcare, etc.
Mr. Philipp Roesler, CEO of WEF, emphasized: “Technology is the key to the future development of Vietnam, so Vietnam should utilize this opportunity to further the economics and leverage positioning.”
Sharing the same view, Mr. Wouter Van Wersch, President and CEO of General Electric ASEAN, stated that digital transformation was one of the leading elements and GE had been focusing on investing this field firmly to provide the industry with better operation.
During the session, Mr. Truong Gia Binh also reaffirmed that FPT has been Vietnam’s largest technology company and the pioneer in this field since 1988. Attending the APEC summit is a worthwhile opportunity for FPT to approach leading enterprises in the world. FPT aims to become partners of leading companies from America, France and Japan in various sectors including automobile, retail and healthy in the process of digitalizing their business.
